The thermostat is set to 68. You can hear the furnace kick on, stays on for a minute. Then kicks off (and does not blow out any warm air while on). Then furnace kicks off and fan stays on, all the while blowing out cold air. What is the problem?

If it is a gas furnace, probably the pilot light is off. No ignition for the gas.
