    Leaking hose bib
Already removed the first nut. But the stem will not come out.
So I could replace the washer. Has a second nut that seems frozen.
Does that nut also have to come off. See Picture Attachment

    Hi Oneill474...

Yes, the second nut needs to come off. Use two wrenches here. One to hold the body of the faucet and the other to get a real good hold on the nut and then loosen the nut.

Then leave the handle in place and loosen the screw. You usually only get one shot at the bib screw so hold the handle and place the whole unit on a table and push down on the screw while holding the handle and go for it. Replace the washer and reinstall. If the bib screw strips you can drill it out as it is soft brass, retap to the next largest screw and still install a new washer.

When you reinstall the nut wrap a few wraps of teflon tape around the threads for good measure.

Finally, if this all fails miserably consider installing an anti.-freeze replacement faucet if you are in a cold area. If installed/pitche properly you neve need to shut these outside faucets off... you just can't leave a hose connected in winter time... ;)

    Good luck~
