I have this friend that I have known since the 1st grade and now she changed a lot. Well I see her everyday but now she got new friends that I don't really like. Also I got new friends too and she doesn't like them either. She will ditch me for them all the time, but if I leave her she gets really mad even though I'd rather be with my other friends. I guess what I'm asking is should I end the friendship with the one who is my best friend that I've known forever. Because sometimes I feel like I just get in the way of her and her new best friends that don't even like me.

Wow that's pretty silly of both of you, I too have a friend of 20 years now and we both have our own friends, even though we both get on with eachothers friends we wouldn't be all out together or anything like that, we both just meet up together on our own to do some shopping or have the odd night out just the two of us, I'm sure this can be arranged with your friend? Just have a little chat together, bring up the subject of both your friends and make the effort to meet up just the two of you once a week or when ever suits you both.

Are you really sure that you can call her best friend? A best friend would not limit her/his friend's social circle. Maybe you both should talk about the matter and learn to accept each other's soial network
