    My tax return
I am an international student who entered the usa on a j1 visa for 4 months of the summer. I would like to file for my taxes myself. What forms should I file if I'm from jamaica. I heard of instances where individuals get more return than they filed for is that really possible and if so how do I qualify. Thanks

You will file nonresident tax return Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ with Form 8843. http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/03/...s-for-non.html

If that 4-month period is the ONLY time you will be in the U.S. you can claim daily living expenses using Form 2106 and reporting those expenses as an ITEMIZED deduction.
