What could it mean to have your period for almost two months?
My menstral cycle usually last about 5-10 days and are usually very heavy. I am sexually active and I do practice safe sex. I currently have the Implenon implant birthcontrol in my system and I have had that in since October 17th, 2010.

Thing is, after a slight incident after having sex I had to take a Plan B pill packet the next day just to be careful. After I took that pill, about a week later, I got my period and it was very heavy; so I wasn't worried. That was November 17th, 2010. Now it's January 7th, 2011 and I am still on my period.

I thought it was slowing down because it gradually went from very heavy to light spotting, but now its back to being a bit more than spotting - more so a light flow. I had called my doctor after being on it for a month and she said it was okay, that it was normal, that it was expected because of the Plan B pills.

Now I'm scared because it seems like I'm never getting off my period. I am going to the doctor on the 17th, but I want to know what could be wrong.
