Of course. The number of children a person has has no bearing on child support.
He made them, he has to support them. They can't support themselves.
He can have 100 children and he'll be expected to support every one of them.
Yes, in fact the more children you have to support, the higher amounts you have to pay.
Why I guess I have to ask, do you think you don't have to pay if you had more children
I'd like to know that too. This isn't the first time that we've gotten this question. Do people honestly think that fathering 6 kids or more gets you off the hook?
It's not logical. It's also not legally accurate. If someone is irresponsible enough to have 6 children out of wedlock, than hell you, he has to pay, and rightfully so.
The strictly legal answer is, yes - if pursued for child support a man will be ordered to pay. Whether he wants to support his children without a Court Order is purely his moral judgment.
In States where child support is a percentage of income it goes like this (using made up percentages because all States differ): first child would get 10%. If the parent earns $100, the child support would be $10 (or 10% of $100). The SECOND child would get 10% of the earnings AFTER the first child support is paid - or $9 (10% of $90). As it filters down the line, the last non-custodial parent would get (literally) pennies.
What State if you want more specific info.
The REAL question is:
If a father has 6 or more children that he is not voluntarily supporting, should his reproductive system be completely removed?
