    Forbidden love
I'm a Catholic Chinese girl. I have falling in love with someone has a very different religions view from me. He is Malay guy. He is my colleague but we are from a different department. We were friends. I did express my feeling what I feel for him using short messages, I did very clear that he understand what I feel. But until now He has not given me any response? Why? His not into me, but why he still care for me, and treat me nicer then other people. What should I do? Forget about my feeling for him

He likes the fact that you like him, or he feels bad that he doesn't feel the same maybe? You need to think is it really love or an infactuation? Think about the defention of 'love' its used to lightly these day's, but search yourself by spending time with yourself. I know what's it like to be conflicted with such a problem, asi am also a muslim asian. I hope and pray that you find the solution and piece of mind, also how long have you known him? And what do you eman byy 'short messages'? Also, when someone tells you out of the blue that they are in love with you or even use the word love it can be pretty intence. :/ x

Give it more time to develop a friendship. Sounds like you're rushing things.

Because of the difference in faith, would your, or his family refuse to allow or agree to a relationship ?

** note to other posters don't forget other cultures the actual desires of the couple does not really matter.
Not sure if this is the case with what little info given.

But at least in our culture, you talk, perhaps date and find out what each of you think on all sorts of topics

I suggest you try to see each other more in person so that you have more opportunities to build a closer connection with each other.
