I can not figure any of my biology out I have gone half way through the book like 3 times! I can not remember anything I have tried using flash cards but nothing seems to work for me. If I really want to go to nursing I need to remember a lot of the things in this book mostly all of it. Any ideas on how I should be studying it?

You need to make little corrolations of bio words in your mind with something you will remmeber when you need to retrieve the word.. for instance.. you are learing Protazoa.. you have to break the words up in pre fexes main word and suffixs when you can... like Pro means first in Greek.. so when ever you see Pro.. you know it means first.. and zoa is animal.. so if you have a question.. how many cells.. you will take an educated quess of.. one which would be right. Exo is out so exoskelton.. bones on outside... endo skelton.. endo inside.. bones on inside... that will take you to... endo (in ) endothermic... warm blooded.. Ecto opposite of endo.. Ectothermic.. cold blooded... If you can remember e C to.. do this remember the C for cold.. I had to play all these sorts of little games with the words.. diffusion.. osmosis... Diffusion.. think Dis.. does not create energy.. osmosis from greater to lessor.. engery... Exo think exit so when you are asked cells Sercrete ( Exit) material.. obvious choice.. exocytosis.. Things like Pinocytosis... I think PINT.. so when asked Cell that takes up liquid.. cell drinking... Phagocytosis... Cell Eating.. takes soild food... Hope this helps.. If you learn thise trick it will get you beyond and that is where the real learning begins.. so use this if only to get through the test.
