    Hello k:

Anemia can only be detected by a blood test.

You need to get a blood test to know for sure, but there is a really cool way to check (probably not the most accurate -but neat) if you take a gold ring and rub it on your forehead it will make dark lines if you are anemic. I'm not sure how it works but I've seen it done.

Interesting test rpnstudent, but not accurate. I am anemic, have been for a long time, and despite daily iron pills I'm still not getting better.

So, either my ring isn't gold (which means that hubby has some explaining to do) or the test doesn't work, because no dark lines appeared.

Blood test is a good idea. There are some symptoms, but those symptoms can be attributed to many different things, so it's best to go to the source, your blood.

Excon is correct. I thought I had fibromyalgia. Then I had a blood test. My problem turned out to be "only" anemia. (The symptoms are similar.)
