    Cooling Fan for Inducer Motor
The cooling fan for my furnaces inducer motor broke off when the HVAC guy was working on it. He said the part cannot be purchased individually, but the whole motor must be replaced for $400. Is this legit? It looks as though the plastic connection on the fan wheel broke and could be glued on. Would this work? Is there a way to replace just the fan wheel?

If it were mine, I'd try to glue it back using JB Weld epoxy, available at any -mart or DIY store. The main thing to watch out for is that the wheel stays balanced once it is re-attached.

If the repair guy broke it, you could try to get them to be responsible for it, but you'll get a big hassle that's probably not worth it.

    Best of luck,
