The right to walk away without having to get a divorce ?

The only rights of marriage would be if you lived in an area that accepted common law marriages

You can give each other rights by having a will, by having a living will.

    Hello s:

You have the rights that a roommate would have - which is to say - NONE.

Well, are there any children? Do you two share interest in property? If I had either or both I would hire an attorney, but as a moderator. Is the divorce going to be messy? Or is it amlical? I am not an attorney, I am a 2x divorced chick. But all my exs are family friends now. Sometimes doing the right thing hurts, good luck.
