Should I remove the live plants from my fish tank?
I have live plants in my new fish tank and every now and again I notice yellow blotches on the leaves. I know that yellow leaves is the sign of decaying leaves and should be removed as its more ammonia being added to the tank. I just wondered is it best just to remove all the plants until its finished its cycle?
    Thanks

How new is the set up? Are there fish added already? If not, there isn't enough food for the plants. They need fish waste for their nutrients.
If there are fish leave them in and remove dead matter as you would in a garden. Decaying plant matter in your tank will lower the ph and feed algae.

Plants are very beneficial in an aquarium.
