US Visa Process - no surname in passport
    Hi,

I have a passport & other educational document without surname i.e they contain only the given name 'Rajxxxxx' but other documents like bank statements, employment letters & incometax documents contains surname i.e 'Rajxxxxx Muxxxx'.

Does this makes any problem for visa processing ?

    Thanks & regards,
    -Raj

The US consulate will only issue a visa matching the name in your passport, as that is a primary identity document issued by your home country. If you have the time, it is best to get a passport issued out to match your birth certificate and other primary documents.
