    No,for a 20 amp 120 / 240 V circuit you need a #12/3 copper cable.

    Are you sure you a 20 amp circuit? What do the instructions call for?

    If it is a straight 240Volt you CAN use a 12/2, black and white will carry power. If tis is a 120/240 VAC, you will need a 12/3. What does the plate say?

    Most tanning beds are straight 240v.
