Has anyone used an inverter to power the block heater element in an F-250SD during the coldest weather? 15 minutes seems to be enough time to get the engine to start so far here in Michigan. My hope is that 2 good batteries under the hood will still have enough cranking power.

Full synthetic heavy duty diesel oil will help tremendously. It's good to -30 degrees F.
