I am looking for the title of a movie that, I saw as a child in the 60's, in which a scientist modified a deep sea diving bell into a space craft which he launched from his his garage/laboratory and piloted with companions to the moon, can you help me?

This is a film called "First men in the moon" starring Lionel Jefferies. It was 1964 and is after the H G Wells story of the same title, where Cavor uses his invention of Cavorite on the outside of a spherical diving bell, and it is anti-gravity substance..
