I have a faded black hair color and I would love a little more color on it, so I bought a L'Oreal 4R Dark Auburn shade. Now, my concern is? Would I get a very orange shade on it or should I expect more of a reddish tone (which is what I'll like)? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I haven't tried that one but the other day I died mine from a dark dark brown to red using garnier fructise (that bright neon green box brand) using a dark auburn, I think the box said something about it being designed specifically for dark hair. It came out great.
Doesn't loreal have a customer service number you can call? I thought I remembered seeing one on there somewhere when I've used their products in the past. They should be able to help you figure out if it's likely to work with your hair color.

I think the darker your "faded black" the darker the red will turn out, although this will depend on your natural hair growth from the roots, if your roots are also dark then it will most likely turn our darker red, but if they're a light shade you may end up with maybe an orange shade gradually going in to a darker red, but the hair dressers also say you can't die over black, unless its blue black,but they could be wrong, everyone's hair is different
