I got an abortion surgery(aspiration)on 30th of november(I was 6 weeks pregnant.After 2 weeks I got my ceck up and the doctor said I wasn't pregnant.But I didn't get an ultrasound or a bloody test.just an urine test.After I week I got anoter check because I was worry to be still pregnant.But the doctor said I'm OK.Now,after 1 month and 4 days,I still got a positive test and I don't have my period yet.I have no symptoms like headache,pain,nausea... but my breast hurt since 3 days ago and I think its growing up... it doesn't hurt like when I was pregnant but I'm very scared that the abortion is failed.. I didn't have sex after abortion.Now I'm in another country,and its hard here to get an abortion.. do you think I could be still pregnant or its just on my mind?if I'm still pregnant,I should be almost in 11 weeks.. so I don't understand if I should have more symptoms.thanks.

In most cases you should not still be getting a positive result at this stage, but it can sometimes take awhile for hcg levels to drop.

I would see the doctor and ask about a blood test and possibly an ultrasound as well. It may be the abortion was not complete, it may be that it is just taking a bit longer than the norm for levels to drop enough so that you are no longer getting a positive result. Be sure too that you are reading the pregnancy test within the time frame stated on the test, not afterwards, which can sometimes look like a faint positive.
