How to answer a modification petition for support summons?
How doe I answer a summons for a Modification Petition for Support. My ex-wife asked for this and they are claiming that I have an increase in income since the order was established. I have no idea what they are comparing my current income. I have no idea what my ex-wife or her lawyer put as my income in the original paperwork 4 years ago, I just agreed to the amount of child support because it was less than what the form they use to compute it with came up with. How do I answer it and how do I ask for a review of her income as well? She makes approximately twice as much as I do and I am pretty sure her increases have been more than anything I have gotten. Thanks for your help.

ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

Some areas may take the custodial parent's income into consideration, others don't. As for showing your income, you brong copies of your tax returns for the last 4 years and your current paystub.

Sorry about that. I am located in Alabama. I know what to take to the hearing, but I have to answer the summons and submit it to the clerk. I have not idea how to do that.

First, please don't use the Comments feature for follow-up. Use the Answer options instead.

Family Courts are generally less formal. I would just submit a letter stating that your income has not increased significantly in the last four years.
