No cold water pressure to bathroom only
In the last few days, the cold water pressure in my bathroom has gone. It is affecting the sink, bath and toilet but the hot is fine. The source to the bathroom is from a water tank in the loft. All other water is sourced through the mains and is fine. What can I do to fix it without calling in an expensive plumber? Help please!! Thanks!

How cold is it in the loft? Is it a heated space? Perhaps the pipe is frozen.

It's not cold enough for the pipes to freeze. Thanks for answering though.

Obviously there is a stoppage in the system. How does the water get to the tank and then how does it get into the supply side? Is this a gravity system?

It is a gravity system. Tank is mains fed with pipes to the supply. Valve from tank is open. Now all cold water bathroom supply has stopped.

Strude, have you checked the tank to see if it has water in it?

Gravity systems only depend on head pressure. You either have a blocked water supply and low or no water in the tank or a blocked valve from the tank. I hope you have a valve, what would you do if a pipe breaks? By the way, where are you located?

I'm in the UK & the problem has been fixed! Turned out to be a airlock so had to force the hot water supply up the pipes with the cold taps open to fix it. Asked at a plumber's merchant & this is what they recommended. Thks ma0641 especially for taking the time to help.
