I only have enough money for one good shot at this, so I want to know that the rebuilt engine is going to work that gets put in my car w/o a lot of extra work/time/expense having to be added to it. When an engine is rebuilt, it should be in perfect working order right? I'm not likely to get something worse than what I already have right? From what I have read, I know that tearing my engine down and trying to fix it could cause the mechanic to find problems that could cost me way beyond the cost of a rebuilt engine to fix. Valves, rings, head gaskets should all have been fixed and in great working order when the rebuilt engine is sold correct? I only have the one vehicle and I'm stranded without it so your help is very much appreciated.
