My boyfriend I dated for about a year and was my first everything, he is now dating my best friend which I had 4th grade through freshman year. I am currantly a freshman and we broke up about 5 months ago and I am having a lot of difficulty getting over him. I got rid of most of the things he gave me, and I tried deleting his number but unfortunaly I have it memorized. I go to school with him and he's also my neighbor so I pass him a lot on the roads going to his new girlfriends house. He has recently been texting me asking if I would have sex with him again and keep it "our little secret". He never used to be like this and its like he's a complete different person and it hurts me bad because I miss the person he was and its hard to let go. I've talked to a lot of people that could help me and they have, but it feels impossible. I feel like this is all I ever think about. I dream about catching him and my best friend and I won't be able to fall back asleep after and I lose a lot of sleep because of this problem. Like I said, this has gone on for many months, I need help, I don't know what else there is to do.

Sweety, my first thought is change your number. That will help with a lot. Seeing him when you can't help it will feel differenetly than the "jump up when the phone goes off hoping it him" kind of feeling. As for your best friend, good riddence to both of them. With friends like that who needs enemies.

Its not going to be easy, you are going to lose the sleep. You just need to let it happen. It's a proess and everyone handles it differently. Changing the number will help because it won't be such personal contact.

Something you said will actually help you out, you have said he's changed and you liked him the way he WAS. If he's not that person anymore, then why would you want him anyway? Your holding onto the past doll. Time is what you need.

I was in your situation once. About the number thing. It just goes away. The sex thing... don't do it. It keeps you attached and its harder to let go of him. What I did is I went out and met some new guys and I used them to get over him. I'm not saying it's that easy but this will get better. Check me out on YouTube.
