OK so my minicher dachshund who is around 7 years old reasently started pooping and occantionally peeing in our house. He is fixed and is normally fine. This happens when we are gone so we got him a create and he has to stay in there when we are all away. We never leave for more than a few hours and he has many chances to go to the bathroom before we leave. We find that when we let him out he doesn't want to leave the porch so we started walking out to the yard with him and he goes but he must not go fully because he comes in and goes in the house after we just watched him go in the yard. We don't know why please help?

Sometimes "pooping problems" that are a new occurrence for an old pet can be related to underlying health problems,if you have not recently done so, I would recommend having your pet examined by a vet. The problems may also be behavioral and your vet can help determine if that is the case.
