    Wiring assistance for new thermostat
    Hello,

I have recently purchased a new Honeywell thermostat (RTH6350) for my heat pump, and need assistance in the wiring. The current thermostat is a Trane (XR401) unit. The existing wiring configuration is as follows:

    Terminal to Wire Color:
    R - Red
    W2 - Black
    W1 - White
    Y - Yellow
    G - Green
    O - Orange
    B - Blue

The terminals on the new Honeywell thermostat are as follows:
    L, E, Aux, G, O/B, Y, R, Rc (w/ R and Rc having a jumper)

My understand of the configuration for the new thermostat would be as follows:
    R/Rc - Red
    Y - Yellow
    O/B - Orange
    G - Green
Aux - ? (black or white)
    E - ? (black or white)
    L - not used
    - blue not used

Is the above configuration correct? And how are the black and white wires configured?

    Thanks,

    Ted
