80's made for TV movie, little girl dying... please help!
I am looking for the name of an early 80's movie. I think it was a 'made for tv'. It is about a young girl, maybe 5-8 yrs old who is dying I think maybe cancer? The mother and father are trying to do everything they can to save her but in the end she ends up dying. They are at home in her bedroom when she dies, but I also remember the father running out for ice cream or something to make her feel better. I remember them telling her not to be afraid. I think it was a true story? Please help me this is driving me CRAZY!!
