Shuddering cold water tap new tap
My cold water tap shudders when I turn it on. This doesn't happen when the toilet cistern is filling. What is the problem and how can I fix it? Is it a washer problem, air in the pipes, could not be loose pipes. Could debris be in the pipes. Can I fix this problem by myself?

    Hi Oscaotto...

It could be an issue with a washer in the faucet if it is a two handle tap or you have individual taps... could be.

If you used the shutoffs under the sink to shut the water off to install the faucet then it could also be a washer in the one of the shutoffs under the sink.

Only way to know for sure would be to shut the water off and inspect the washers. It should be something you can do pretty easily with the new tap and if the shutoffs aren't too old you should be able to disassemble them easily as well!

    Questions? Let me know, OK?
