If you haven't already, ask your doctor for a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist to start some fertility testing for both you and your partner. Often this sort of testing will be started once a woman is in her 30's and has not had success after six months of trying.

While pregnancy does happen naturally still for some women in their mid-40's, most women who become pregnant at that time will need medical assistance to do so.

In the meantime, are you having regular menstrual cycles? Has there been any change to them? Have you been able to determine when you might be ovulating? Have you been able to have intercourse on a regular basis throughout each cycle? Do you or your partner have any chronic health conditions?

Certainly make healthy changes if you haven't already... take a prenatal or multivitamin with folic acid, avoid smoking and too much alcohol, eat well, get regular exercise and adequate sleep, keep any medical conditions you might have under control... for example, diabetes.

:) try taking viatamin and excercizing also don't stress. I was told I could not have kids, and I started taking a one a day multi viatamin and started walking and jogging. :) I got pregnany within a month and we had honestly given up at the time.
