Sewer Drainage problem under the Street
We have a Draining problem with sink, washing machine and dishwasher.
I had a plumber who tried to snake out my sewer line with no success. Then he called a plumber who used a camera and used the Hydro Jetter. We paid out a lot of money and we still have drainage problems. The plumbers said the problems are that are two holes in the sewer lines under the street.

Are we responsible for the problem under the street or do we have to pay ourselves?
I think the County of Los Angeles takes care of our streets.

Please note: Flushing our two Toilets and using shower does seem not
    To backup.

Did the people doing the clean out work know that only a portion of the house is not draining? If a toilet flushes but a sink doesn't drain, you have an interior line blockage. Yes, the county should handle all repaire past your property line.

    Hi guys...

It sounds like an additional issue inside the house to me as well, Brian.

In terms of responsibility for a broken main drain, however, I'd have to advise sparker77 to call the local sewer division in his town as each town has different requirements. Brian gave you his experience with these cases... city/town responsible past property line. In my area, we are responsible up to and including the connection into the sewer main itself... ;) Make a quick call so you know for sure.

Finally, one other alternative to investigate could be an epoxy SEWER MAIN RELINING. In some cases, this new lining technology can save thousands of dollars and tons of mess/hassle, so it is, at a minimum, something to look into.
