My sons grandmother just passed away. She had 2 sons. One is living one is deceased. The deceased on is the father of my son. When there mother passed away there is no will. Will my son get any of her estate being the one sons beneficiary, or does it all go to the living son.

What state did the grandmother live in (the rules for division of the estate's assets in the case of no will - i.e, intestate - vary by state)? And to be clear: she has one living son, and one grandchild (through the deceased son). Does she have an any other grandchildren?
