I just had my son in October and I got the depo provera shot at my 6wk post partum check-up.. my boyfriend and I had condoms but we didn't use them a few times before I got the shot.. is it possible that I could have got pregnant and the doctor's test didn't pick it up?. a couple weeks after getting the shot I got my period (btw I'm exculsively breastfeeding).. or at least I thought it was my period.. it lasted about 2wks and a day or two.. I had some cramping but nothing that hurt too much.. I called an on-call nurse at the hospital when I was a week and a half into it and she said if the bleeding gets heavier or the cramping gets worse to go to the hospital.. so I'm just looking for some answers because I'm not finding what I'm looking for on the internet.. thank you

It would be hard to tell without visiting your doctor for an ultrasound which you will need to do if it was a miscarriage anyway to make sure nothing was left in the womb. There is however an increased chance of pregnancy just after giving birth as your hormone levels are still quite high. It could also be that your menstrual cycle is not 100% how it used to be as it took months for mine to return after having my daughter.

It could be a possiable chance that you are having a miscarriage but a would just wait and see what happens because it would have to come away from you if uu were having a micarriage when I had 1 in September I didn't have no pain at all... if the bleeding doesn't stop ring bk up but if it dose try and take another test and see what happens... good luck
