What kind of amp draw should I see at the door switch of a ruud ugfd
I replaced a circuit board on a ruud ugfd and noticed on the back, scorch marks. Some of the glue was melted and the copper was blown apart.
This was on the hot side of the eac, as well as the 120v bar that the door switch and two transformers are plugged into. I dissconnected the eac. I took voltage readings and amp draws of the three remaining wires coming off that bar, in low and high fire.
I would like to compare my readings. Ruuds tech support guy is gone till jan 4 2011(next year!! ) lol

Depends on what size blower is in your furnace. The data plate will give the expected amp draws you should see on any motors in the equipment. It will be listed as a numerical value followed by FLA for full load amps.
