I saw a movie several years ago about a young girl who is orphaned due to a fire or something, she is separated from her siblings and placed in a orphanage or workhouse of some sort. At some point she sees a older rich japanese man drop his handkerchief, I don't remember what happened she picked up and I think kept it... or maybe She dropped it and HE kept it.. Some one keeps it and mourns for the other years later?

I think I figured this out, "Memoirs of a Geisha" getting it from netflix, will update if it is!

It WAS "Memoirs of a Geisha"! :) Definitely a good movie.
