    Limping puppy
My 8mo. Lab is limping on his back legs. He is not over weight, is up to date on his shots. We are not giving him any supplements. What can I do to help him?

Having answered this once, I was ready to delete it as a duplicate. After checking, I see that was elsewhere and you are responding to part of that answer. You still need to see the vet. There are some things that are treatable or even go away. What ever problems growing puppies may have, the common over weight and overly rich diets make them worse.

For the benefit of others, this is the answer I gave: ''It may be too late to do much of anything. First see the vet. Cut out any supplements you are giving him. Make an immediate switch to adult chow and cut back how much your are feeding if he is over weight. Excessive amounts of too rich of a food plus calcium supplements can ruin a growing puppy's joints. See http://www.puppychow.com/products/po...condition.aspx

Once the vet diagnosis the problem you may want to check with the breeder. If they are producing defective puppies, they need to know.''
