    Weird cycle
I realize this is dumb. I feel stupid asking questions on a website and I know the bottom line is go to an OBGYN. Well, I have an appointment but it's a month away so I feel I have no choice but to try and find answers online until I can see a professional. Anyway, my body is weird and very irregular. I am in a long distence relationship and depending on how often I see my boyfriend that's how long I'll miss my period. Most of the time its about 2-4 months. Its weird cause I use to be generally pretty regular. So I am thinking wow, does sex induce ovulation? How strange! So he was home a few weeks ago and sure enough about a week after he left I got my period only it was mostly light only heavy for about a day and now a week after it has been over I am experiencing brown almost dark pinkish discharge which has never happened to me ever. I am doing my best to be rational, I mean I have heard of women getting their period while pregnant but come on what are the chances? Plus, my boobs have been driving me crazy, I just bought a $40 bra from Vickys and still they annoy me.. But maybe the new bra is the reason... I don't know I am not just afraid of pregnancy, we have been together for a few years and talked about the small possibility of me becoming pregnant using the withdrawl method and its all OK... I am more afriad actually that the irregularity and weird discharge is something far worse than pregnancy.. I do know that I have a cyst on my right ovary but that's about it. I am actually more worried about not being able to have kids. So any information anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No, it is not dumb. What would be dumb is that you think you can get a definite answer here, and obviously you know you have to go to the doc. Good for you!!

If you are very irregular, this could well be a period for you. Remember that many periods have the same or similar side effects as pregnancy.

You ask what the chances of having your period while pregnant. Well, actually the chances are pretty high, it happens to quite a few women actually. Also, please read this thread about the withdrawal method.

Maybe while you are waiting for your doctors appointment you should take a HPT and be sure to use first morning urine no matter what the directions say.
