Sometimes periods can be irregular during the teen years. You may have them come at odd times, last shorter or longer than expected, or skip a month here and there. Certainly it would be wise to let a parent know and maybe schedule a doctor's visit to ease your mind.

Yes, you should prob go to the doctors or even a GYN ( a woman's doctor),
I'm 18 and I've have had bad periods and even had one for a whole year!

And my parent took me to the doctors when I was younger who told my parent to take me to a GYN,
The GYN the found out that I had Endometriosis and he put me on meds to help me get better.
That and meaning you have started your period now you should talk tour parent about going to a woumans doctor to get comfortable w/ the doctor as well to make sure eveything is working right.

it is all right to feel this confused and puzzled, humans are not perfect and therefore we can not always predict what will and will not happen, like when its going to rain or when its going to shine BECAUSE it is nature, nature isn't easily predicted.

ANYWAY I think what I'm trying to say is I personally think you should not stress and let NATURE take its course

Annalyse, sometime "nature" needs a helping hand. Sometimes letting "nature" take its course can be dangerous.

In this case it would be wise for the OP to see a doctor. This could be just an off period, but there could be something going on and only a doctor can tell her what it is.
