    Coco,

Normally I ask how old people are, but in this case, I'm going to just give you my opinion.

I really think that you should wait until you know YOU are ready. You sound young to me and unsure.

Wait to make love when you are IN LOVE, and until you are ready to be parent.

I too would like to know your age because if all you are afraid of is the pain, and you think a condom is all you need not to get pregnant, then you haven't thought far enough, because disappointing your partner is the last thing you have to worry about. How about disappointing your child bringing them into a world with parents who are not ready to take care of him?

How about how much your life will change and that of your partner the day after?

How about parents that are not ready or expecting to be grand parents?

How about talking to your doctor, or Ob/Gyn, for the real facts about proper birth control and not just the poor man, street corner solution??

You sound young and ignorant of real facts, so get them before you try this true love thing that can change, and affect everything you know about life, BS, and real pain.

So how old are you?? How old is he??

I agree with both Enigma and Tal, but I am going to approach this in a little bit different way---IT HURTS LIKE HELL!! That's why you when you lose you virginity it better be with someone who understands and loves you enough to know what your going through!! It your just losing it with someone guy that you call your boyfriend, if he doesn't really know what he is doing it will even be WORSE PAIN!! Listen, losing your virginity is not something just to be given away to a boy who doesn't know what he is doing, it should be given to a MAN who knows what you are giving him and will cherish that and also you. He will know how to protect you correctly, and to help your adjustment.

You need to re-think this, but its up to you and your pain tolerance. I would make sure you check all the information you can about protection, because condems can BREAK!! If they break it not only can mean pregnancy, but herpies,AIDS,any other STD's!! If your going to choose to lose your virginity don't lose your intelligence too, get informed!!

Condoms are not 100 percent effective to start and if not used properly they break and are not any protection.

If you are going to be sexually active, you should be on at leat one other type of birth control with a condom also.

Next are you ready to have a child, since that is what sex causes.
