Child support lien on property in Florida
My ex husband owes my son over 20,000 dollars in back child support. We have been to court and has been ordered to pay, but, he still has not paid a dime. He has a warrant out for his arrest and keeps hiding from the police knowing they can not enter his house to search. My question is how do I go about putting a lien on the property he owns. He has only one bill to pay a month and that is his electric. Were do I go from here?

A lien on the house will not get you the money either, with the lien you only get the money if and when he sales the house or dies and the house goes to probate to be sold.

And why can't the police enter his house, if they have a warrant for him and know he is there, of course they can enter his house. The real issue on these types of warrants, they normally don't look, they just wait till he may be caught at some time in the future.
