If I took a pregnancy test and it was positive will the next one be negative

Doubtful. A positive pregnancy test means you're pregnant, so why would you expect a negative test?

Did you follow the instructions on the test? If done correctly they're fairly accurate. You could try another test, using first morning urine, and if you get a different result either take a third, or see your doctor.
