    Tongue Piercing
I got my tongue pierced two weeks ago. I recently changed the bar everything went well but a couple days after I started tasting metal? I took out the bar and it wasn't that it was the ball to screw it on. I don't know why it tasted like metal if its plastic. Can You Help?

Is their any metal on it? It might be blood leaking from your piercing... not a lot, but a little. Changing your piercing might have irritated the hole, and a little blood came out. I wouldn't worry about it unless your tongue begins to hurt, in which case, you might have an infection.

No; I thought it was the metal ball underneath because I kept that one on. But it wasn't and I took it off right now and it's the plastic ball on top that leaves the metal taste. It's not the bar or the bottom ball. & No there's no blood.

If the bar is metal, I hope it was surgical grade SS, or it might have oxidized causing that "irony" after taste... I bought cheap hardware once for my piercing, and It looked like it was corroding...

If I were you, I'd take it back... to get rid of the irony taste? I would suggest listerine or gum! If the product is defective, there's no real way to eliminate the problem unless you eliminate the source. I hope this helps you, I feel for yah!
