    Options:

    1. Try tightening the crankshaft pulley bolt/pulley assembly 134 lb.-ft. If you have a manual transmission, remove the flywheel cover and wedge a large screwdriver between the bell housing and the flywheel. Proceed carefully, so you don't break a tooth off the flywheel.

    2. Remove the left front wheel and fender liner, to gain better access. Then, you will have a better picture of what you're up against. A good mechanic should be able to break the weld and remove the crankshaft pulley bolt. It's best to use a crankshaft pulley tool to hold the pulley, while using a very powerful air impact wrench to remove the crankshaft pulley bolt. Some mechanics even need to use a 3/4-inch drive impact wrench. Most 1/2-inch impact wrenches are not powerful enough. Make sure you are loosening it to the left (counter-clockwise) and only use a 6-point impact socket, not a 12-point. Any extensions will reduce your power, the longer the extension used the less loosening power you will have.

It wouldn't surprise me if you could actually remove the crankshaft pulley bolt and pulley, as a unit. Then, install a new timing belt, pulley, and crankshaft pulley bolt. You should be able to overcome this setback.

TRICK: It's best to place a mark (e.g. Wite-Out, white Sharpie, or white paint) on each pulley and corresponding point on the side of the old timing belt, before removing. Then, remove old belt, transfer marks exactly to new belt, and reinstall with confidence.
