Clicking by igniter, trying to ignite... ignites then shuts off.. wiggle wires on top og gas shutoff control and sometimes it relites... works a couple days, same thing all over... I live in NW Indiana, so you know it is getting cold... help me make it through this winter... I promise a new furnace in spring... bob from south bend

slugaboybob, sounds like you have a bad connection on the coil, or a bad coil. What trane do you have?

OK... BLU108P936B2... the last two may be 82... jammed my pocket knife in where the plug goes in.. been working ever since... any ideas

It appears the pocketknife has temporarily fixed the bad connection. It will probably vibrate loose again, you'll need to see why it's not making contact. Good luck

Could be as simple as a loose or broken wire.
