How long does the process to terminate probation early take in Arizona?
I am on unsupervised probation and have completed all of the terms of my probation including paying fines, classes, community service and have a perfect record on probation. I found out I'm going on a cruise for Christmas on January 23rd. Is it possible to get off probation by that time?

I forgot to mention I have already completed more than half of my time on probation.

    Hello AZ:

I don't know IF it can happen that fast, and I don't know IF it will happen at all. Telling them that you have a cruise scheduled will piss them off, so don't do that. I'd ask for a travel permit. I think they'll do that.

Indeed I agree I wasn't going to mention it to them, I wasn't going to give any impression that I needed to get off for a personal reason such as that. Going to cite economic circumstances, which is true. Can I receive a travel permit by then?

You are not going to get off probation in 3 weeks, There has to be an application, investigation and submitted to the court ( judge) for review.. Even if this fits into their allowed.
I seldom see them released under 2/3 of the sentence. And some courts don't even let off early ( really a judge thing)

Your best bet is to ask for permission to do the travel.
And that is almost too late with only three weeks to go

Thanks for the input guys. I've always been very kind and facilitating with everyone in the justice system. I know they are always very stressed so I do what I can to make their life easier. I'll see how things go and hope for the best.

Took 4 days to get the travel permit I have it signed and ready to go. Goes to show you get what you give, be kind and respectful and things go easy for everyone.
