Dizzy / unreal feeling when using computer
My problem started around 6 months ago. I do office work, so I spend from 7 to 10 hours in front of the computer. I don't know if the type of screen has anything to do with it, but I use a MAG flat LCD screen as well as a laptop with LCD screen and I have the problem with both.

I never had any trouble before while using the computer for long hours. The first time I had this was at the end of a work day. I just felt very dizzy, although it was more a feeling of being "spaced out", or an "unreal" feeling. The first time, it happened after leaving work, not while I was at the computer, so I wonder if that is the real reason.

After that, I've have good days and bad days, although bad days seem to be increasing. Sometimes I just get very dizzy when working at the computer, and it goes away after a few minutes of doing something else, but other times I have this "spaced out/unreal" feeling for hours after work, or even the next day. The feeling seems to increase when I am in crowded / loud places. I also think it could have something do with stress, or a combination of all factors.

I also have allergies, I have skin rashes and itching, but no respiratory problems. The allergies may be food-related, but I haven't been able to find which food causes them.

I have been reading and I see there are many explanations for this kind of thing, from the type of computer screen to fibromyalgia and chronic stress syndrome. But I don't suffer any muscular or joint pains as described for these diseases.

I would like to know if someone can offer some professional advise. I would really appreciate it. It is very scary and I have no clue what to do.

    Hi,

You feel dizzy while computers because your full concentration is towards your monitor screen, specific section of mind control eye, as your mostly using computer without blinking and focus on one point your eyes get stressful and can't feel the pain which is normal but may be you experienced back-head pain sometime. This stress creating imbalance between you mind and eye which case dizziness, regularly check your blood pressure while you feel dizzy if its due to blood pressure, stop eating junking foods, get some neck exercise, starting blinking after hour or so and close your eyes relax for 5 to 10minute after 1 or 2hours, if you get will if not for RMI checkup,

    Hello,

I am suffering the same symptoms as you (the original poster). Did you find out what was causing it or any way of preventing it?

It has been months now and I just want to feel normal again.
