I also know that he represents a lot of the law officers, and court house employees in other types of cases. In my last case he told me if I plead guilty I would revive this and that, when we were in front of the judge I got another that was a lot worse.

    Hello r:

I don't know the history, but you can surly fire your lawyer. Do it by certified mail, return receipt requested. Send a copy to the judge and one to the prosecutor. If you're facing a felony, and you can't afford a lawyer, the court SHOULD appoint you another...

The thing is, just because he represents court people, he could or should be really one of the better ones. I would always want an attorney who was friends with a judge and all the police.

The issue is, if the attorney says something should happen, it normally does, and you could always withdraw your guilty plea prior to the very end.

Next of course if your attorney says there is a real deal, it should be in writing though the DA and your attorney
