Hot water tank leaking at pressure valve tube
Our gas hot water tank 4 years old started leaking slowly at the TRP valve pipe however I noticed when water was running else where in the house (EX: dishwasher flush toilet shower) it doesn't leak.
I have the laundry sink cold water turned on to a trickle and the hot water tank doesn't leak anymore. Is this a bigger problem I am covering up or am I creating a bigger problem then I have ?

Appreciate your input and thank you in advance

By turning on the water in the house, you are reducing the pressure. Could be a bad PRV or a bad main pressure reducing valve. Interior house pressure should not exceed 40-45#. Check it with a pressure gage on the drain of the HW heater and on an outside hose bib. What are the pressures?
