Of course it can... violations of any law can kill eligibility in an immigrations case.

Yes, unfortunately you are in a system which doesn't allow offenders citizenship, as you have already displayed criminal behavior.. your best shot is hope they don't find it!

We can only hope so. We have enough criminals here already, we don't need more.

Oops did I say that out loud?

    Hello s:

If you're convicted of a crime, your immigration process WILL be effected...

The other day, I just happened to turn my TV to the local access channel, and watched the Clemency and Pardon Board do its thing... I watched them review the case of an immigrant who had been convicted of a misdemeanor, and needed a pardon to PREVENT being deported... He'd been here, along with his entire family, for many, many years...

I don't know if he got the pardon or not. I'll bet not.. They don't give out those things too regularly.

Given your status, if you're found guilty, the sanctions against you will be grave... So, I would hire the best lawyer you can afford, and then I'd borrow more to hire a better one.

Also you misunderstand "arrested" you do not have to be handcuffed and put in a police car to be arrested,
The issue of arrested means nothing, it is being charged,
