Fired while on manditory taken leave
I was raped 3 weeks ago. I went back to work after one week off. After a few days I was told that I had come back to work too soon and placed on an 30 day manditory "adminstrative" leave and was told that I would receive a letter with what my expectations were while on my leave but the main one was to stay in counciling to get better. I emailed work about 7 days later to let them know I had still not received my letter from them of what my expectations were and to find out if I had or qualified for Short Term Disibility to help out since I would not be receiving a pay check for over a month. I was told that I did not enroll in the program but was asked to come in for a meeting a few days later. At this meeting I was fired and that I was told that I had lost all credibility with my agents but not told specifically how. I still have not been given anything in writing even at the time of firing me. Don't they have to provide me something in writing? Or at least let me finish the leave and see where I am at? Personally I think this was just an excuse to hire someone at a lower pay rate.

    Your agents?
Also what state are you in?
Have an interview with a labor lawyer about the feasibility of a suit. Meanwhile document every thing that has happened and is about to happen.
If your time back at work was difficult and you were unable to work well, your employer can tell you to take more time off.
Being off work for injury/illness doesn't mean you can't be fired, necessarily.

And how many employees in the company?

    I wish
Your only real option at this point is to hire a lawyer to help you fight this unjust firing.

Even if you do win the court battle, there's not much point to go back somewhere that you're unwanted.

I would say that it's time to focus on finding a new job.
