Hi I am 30 and I started taking the pill 8 weeks ago, took it for two weeks and during the third week of taking it had unprotected sex for a week, then had to take antibiotics at the start of the fourth week, took all the pills as normal during this period, I missed a pill Tuesday 3 weeks ago, so during the fifth week of the pill, started light bleeding on the Thursday with some constant cramps and have been bleeding since, going for nearly 3 weeks now, it doesn't look like spotting, is this break through bleeding or could I be pregnant?

Hard to say. The irregular bleeding could be from missing pills. And between missing pills and the antibiotics, the effectiveness of the birth control is not as high as it is when taken correctly and under normal circumstances. Or your body might just not be used to the pill yet and it may just still be adjusting. The only way to know for sure will be to take a pregnancy test.

We really can't tell you if you are or not. With the missing of pills, the antibiotics, etc. etc. there's definitely a higher risk of pregnancy, but are you or aren't you? We don't know.

You'll have to take an hpt using first morning urine, or see your doctor for a blood test.

Still, the only way to know for sure is to take a test. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how many details you give us, we still can't say whether you're pregnant.
