    Outside faucet repair
I have a spigot that came with the house... built in 1978. There ia now a slight drip(constant) coming from the faucet. How do I go about fixing? Do I need to replace the entire faucet or can something else be done?

You can repair this but it helps to tell us where you live. That is the type of faucet (sill cock) that can freeze and burst a pipe, is that OK in your area? Shut down your main and back the knob off a turn and then put a wrench on the nut shaped stem below the bonnet nut, lefty loosey. You will see a rubber washer that can be replaced by unscrewing the screw. Stick you pinky into the body and feel the seat to see if it pitted or has andy sharp edges. These can be repair with a valve reseating tool

Respond to Bob's question but your faucet can be fixed easy, just follow Bob's instreuction and look at the picture to the far left remove the bunnet nut, remove the stem loosen the screw and the washer take it with you to a home Depot or lowe's or any plumbing supply and get the exact washer install and you will be OK the whole thing will cost you less than $2.0, Good luck.
