    R 22 air conditioners
I have r22 coils installed in our new boiler system. We have never put in r22 in the system, I get different answers from plumbers, because there has never been any thing charged through the system, do we have to replace the coils to 410 compatible.

If your outside system is r22 the coil needs to be set up for r22. If the out side system is r410a than it needs to be set up for that. The metering device inside the evaporator coil needs to match with the outside system and the type of refrigerant its using.

We don't have the outside air conditioner yet, we have only the coils in the forced air unit inside, one plumber tells me I can buy a 410 unit and not replace the coils and another says I will have to replace the coils to 410 even if they have never been operated. We live in Canada and we can only purchase a 410 A systems.
